I just realized that Chowder characters are actually dishes from all around the world: Chowder (American/British), Mung Daal (Indian), Schnitzel (German), Truffles (French), Endive (Belgian), Panini (Italian), Kimchi (Korean), and Gazpacho (Spanish/Portuguese). At least, Chowder, Kimchi, Truffles, and Panini are given. And oh, mung bean here in the Philippines is simply munggo.
What culinary emancipation! The knowledge you get from cartoons suited for young adults.
